Letters From Heaven

by Pastor Dave Cottrell

Beware of something called, “Letters from Heaven.”  (http://www.heavenletters.org/ )

These are daily letters, supposedly from God, that you can have sent to your inbox, or simply read online.  In reality, not only are these definitely NOT letters from God;  they are unbiblical in their message, and instead, very much from a New Age god.

The Bible that we have tells us that we are not to take anything away from it, nor are we to add anything to it.  (Revelation 22:18,19  It is the complete revelation of God to man in sixty-six books, divinely and directly inspired by the Holy Ghost (2 Timothy 3:16,17)

God tells us to believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”  1John 4:1

“Try” means simply, to test.  Test what you hear or read to see if its source is from God or from someone else.  There is a very simple way to do this.  It must agree with the Bible completely, or it’s not from God.

It is not enough if 99% of it agrees with the Bible.  One of the tricks of the devil is to use God’s word, but with a little addition or a little subtraction to twist it for his own purposes.

“Letters from Heaven” are blasphemy, claiming to be from God, meaning that the writer is claiming to be directly inspired by God just as the writers of the Bible were.  Yet with very little reading, it is quite plain that they do not reflect the same God that is the God of the Bible, but a very different one, a New Age god, who cannot save you!  Do not be deceived!
